Author's Purpose
Welcome to the 2nd semester!
Recently we have talked about finding the author's purpose for a particular composition. Can you name one or more purpose for writing? Can you identify the type of organization it uses? Please comment!
There are 4 types of the author's purpose. To entertain, to inform, to persuade, and to express thoughts and emotions. The organizations are cause and effect, chronological order, main idea and details, problem solution,proposition-support, compare and contrast, order of degree, and spatial order.
