Since we have been reading poetry in class, I wanted to ask you to comment on your favorite poet. Tell me who it is, why you like him/her, and what is the title of your favorite poem by him/her.
Also, just a reminder that the Poetry Packet Part 1 is due tomorrow (3/1/11). You will need to include one original poem, too. The Unit 5 Part 1 test will be held during class.
I don't really read poetry very much, but I guess I like all the poets so far that have written their poem in the Literature Book. I like their poems because they have a brief, understanding meaning to the poem.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite poet is shel silverstein. I like this poet because his poems are very entertaining to me. They are a little wierd but i most definetley love his writings! My favorite poem of his is actually a book he wrote called the giving tree i read this particular story over and over and over again. Its one my favorite things to read. your friend,Jordan Russell

My most admired poet is also Robert Frost my favorite poem of his is Love and a Question the reason i love this particular poem is every time I read it puts me in a calm, peaceful and collect place and i feel like iam floating on a cloud heading anywhere but here.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite poems are from Edgar Allen Poe. Why because even though he was crazy his poems were inspiring. I think that craziness of it was what draws me in.
