Poetry Cafe'

The Poetry Cafe' opened for business Thursday and Friday. Each of us owned the stage at one time or another to read an original poem or two or three or four- ok, some up to 8! We shared laughs and tears as we listened.

Please comment by writing a personal response to (describe) your experience with the Poetry Cafe'.

***Parents, Did your child come home talking about the Poetry Cafe'? Please feel free to share how it impacted your child.

Poetry- Who's Your Favorite Poet

Since we have been reading poetry in class, I wanted to ask you to comment on your favorite poet. Tell me who it is, why you like him/her, and what is the title of your favorite poem by him/her.

Also, just a reminder that the Poetry Packet Part 1 is due tomorrow (3/1/11). You will need to include one original poem, too. The Unit 5 Part 1 test will be held during class.
